. The EMCC was created in 1993 by the merger of the Northwest Canada Conference Evangelical Church and the Missionary Church of Canada with its two districts: Canada East and Canada West. As of July 1, 2005 the EMCC restructured resulting in each district becoming a corporation whose purpose was to hold property and handle designated funds. The districts’ other responsibilities were assumed by the Denomination. In 2011 these district operations were also assumed by the Denomination and their existence subsequently ended.

Opened as Regina Bible Institute in 1941, moving to Medicine Hat in 1948 and later changing its name to Hillcrest /Bible Institute and then Hillcrest Christian College. It merged with Mountain View Bible College to create Rocky Mountain College in 1992.

Began in 1979 as an arm of the Missionary Church, Inc. It became independent in 1988 and then merged with the Northwest Canada Conference Evangelical Church in 1993.

Opened in Didsbury, Alberta in 1926 and continued until it merged with Hillcrest Christian College in 1992 to form Rocky Mountain College.

Begun as the result of ministries of the Evangelical Association, from the U. S. action of the Canada Conference, and incorporated by Act of Parliament in 1928 the Conference went through a number of mergers until it gained it independence in ???? and took the name Evangelical Church in Canada. It merged with the Missionary Church of Canada in 1993 and became the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada.

Name change from Mennonite Brethren in Christ to U.M.C. until it became the Missionary Church.

The United Missionary Church of Africa was incorporated in Nigeria in 1956. In 1978 the United Missionary Society turned over to the UMCA the work and property which it had begun and developed. Many missionaries stayed in Nigeria after the turnover working under the UMCA. These missionaries soon organized first as The Fellowship of Invited Missionaries and then as World Partners Nigeria.
