Canada Conference (Evangelical Assoc.)
The churches of the Evangelical Association in eastern Canada organized as the Canada Conference in 1863. The Conference, with the exception of two congregations, joined the United Church of Canada in 1968. It was the Canada Conference that spawned the mission district from Manitoba west that became the Northwest Canada Conference in 1926. In 1928 it was incorporated by an act of the Parliament of Canada. Archival holdings for the Canada Conference are also held with the United Church of Canada archives in eastern Canada.
