The Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church was the denomination that birthed the Canada West District. Essential documents of that denomination are preserved.
The Norwood congregation was located in the Hillcrest Christian College Chapel. Its pastor also taught at the College and pastored the Little Plume congregation. The Norwood congregation was organized in 1963. By 1969 the average attendance was 119. However by 1974 there was only a small congregation so the membership was transferred to other congregations in the city.
Medicine Hat, Memorial / River Park Church
Records of the first Evangelical church in Medicine Hat, begun in 1907 and responsible for the "Evangelical Mission" congregations in the surrounding areas.. The congregation changed its name to River Park in recent years.
Mayton, 16 miles east of Olds, and Siebertville were opened in 1904 by the Didsbury Evangelical Church as the Mayton Mission. In 1906 the two were detached from Didsbury and became a separate mission which also included Jutland. In 1942 the Mayton church and parsonage were moved to Torrington.
