Records from the first congregation of the Missionary Church in the West, begun in 1896 as Mennonite Brethren in Christ, which joined, after the EMCC Merger, with Zion Evangelical Church to become the new Zion EMCC Congregation.
Earl Archer entered the ministry in 1937 pastoring several congregations. He was particularly known for his preaching both as pastor and evangelist.
