The western collection is composed of two collections that came together with the merger of the Evangelical Church in Canada and the Missionary Church of Canada in 1993. Each denomination had an archives in western Canada. These were combined in a collection now housed at Bonavista Church in Calgary, Alberta.

The work of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada in the provinces west of Ontario are collected.

The archives is directed by a committee of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada, its parent body.

The EMCC National Collection and the RMC Collection are also housed at the same location.

The collection can be accessed through the Archivist, Shannon Crowe.
